Elegant European Style Gift Wrapping

Elegant Blue European Christmas is my theme for this season, so naturally I HAD to get wrapping paper to match. My color scheme within this European style is a mixture of midnight blue, ivory, evergreen and caramel.

I found these two styles of pretty paper at Homesense: plaid with dark blue, caramel and ivory tones and another one with a wintery landscape that looks beautifully hand drawn.

I also found some gift bags in evergreen and dark blue with some glittery copper stripes at Dollarama-- because we all know that not all of our gifts are going to be in a perfect square box for wrapping. Some things just need a gift bag, right?! I do not wrap items that are odd shapes, unless I absolutely have to.

I can't link this exact wrapping paper because it's from Homesense, but I found some really fun paper on Amazon that fits my color scheme HERE

I also picked up some really cute tissue paper for the bags that fit into my color palette.

The gift tags from Homesense have to be my favorite part of the whole package. They are made from a durable cardstock with a vintage look, which matches the paper completely. I linked some really nice alternative ones here that I love as well!!

The last and most important part is the "ribbon". In past years I've used all kinds of different things for ribbon. For example: thick yarn, raffia, burlap and twine. This year I'm combining lace and hemp together and I think it turned out perfectly splendid...I think this theme is making sound British now too haha ;)!

Here's a link for some paper and metallic gift bags if you can't find any at Dollarama!

You can make it look less feminine by only wrapping the gift with the hemp instead of adding in the lace. There is so much versatility here!

If you're interested in the lace I'll link it in my amazon storefront here

If you're interested in the hemp, I've added it to my amazon storefront here

I also used this lace and hemp layering technique when I made these diy stockings:

The beautiful bead ornaments on these stockings are from my daughter's Etsy shop. I will link her shop here.

Here are the gifts stacked nicely under the Christmas tree! Don't they look lovely!!?? They match everything and it feels elegant just like the rest of the theme.

Any guesses as to what's in the tall gift?

Thank you so much for joining me for this year's elegant European wrapping tour! I am very pleased with how it all looks and hope you like it too!
